The best way to support professional women’s football in Northern Nevada is to show up on game day.
This annual event gives athletes across the country the opportunity to compete for roster spots in one of the most competitive women’s tackle football leagues in the world. If you’re ready to train, compete, and represent Northern Nevada at a high level, fall tryouts are your opportunity to earn a place on the Storm roster.
When Are Tryouts?
Nevada Storm holds tryouts each fall in alignment with WFA National Tryout Week (typically late October through November).
Official dates, times, and registration details are announced each year in early fall.
Who Can Try Out?
Women 18 and older
All experience levels welcome
Competitive mindset required
Athletes under 18 may be eligible with parent permission and approval from coaching staff and the Nevada Storm board.
What to Expect
Tryouts include position drills, conditioning, football IQ evaluation, and competitive reps. Our coaching staff evaluates effort, athleticism, coachability, and overall readiness to compete at the WFA level.
Nevada Storm competes in the Women’s Football Alliance (WFA), representing Reno on a national stage each season.
